Overbelt magnet

An overbelt magnet is suspended above a product flow to extract iron contaminants.

Inside the conveyor belt, a robust magnet pulls iron out of the product flow below. Subsequently, the conveyor belt removes the iron from the magnet's surface and deposits it aside.

This system offers several advantages, including easy adjustment of magnetic force by altering the height.

When considering an overbelt system, it's crucial to address the following:

  1. Required Magnetic Force: Determine the necessary force for effective iron extraction.
  2. Installation Orientation: Decide whether the system will be installed longitudinally or perpendicularly to the product flow.
  3. Additional Components: Consider if a transport or cleaning section is needed for optimal performance.
